been staying in air force training command (AFTC) since my block leave after brunei...course has started so we had very little time to relax...right now im having an exam on monday and then 1 exam per week thereafter for 9 exams...

and my supposedly simple audio crossover project is starting to give problems cause i want to cater for all kinds of controls...and now im having too damn little time to test and too damn many choices to decide which option is best for it...

Brunei And Back

shaky shit...proof of how long i was away from my camera...

finished OCS half a month ago...had social night in goodwood park hotel on a thursday, and woke up on friday into brunei beginning on my Jungle Orientation Training (JOT) for all aircrew...took C130 there and back...really rough ride...slept (tried to) 3h on the plane, took a bus for 1h (slept), boat for another hour (slept oso), another bus for half-hour (also slept)...thats how we got there, reverse way back...

JOT itself was quite okay...the terrain there was knee-depth muddy though...choing through all my components for the 4 days in the jungle and survived nicely with only food for 1 day...came back to singapore on mon with my body itching all over like everyone else...

had a block leave this wk so took the time to continue tests on my audio crossover...going really well now and its almost ready for building...just need iron out some details here and there...oso went bishan park for a bit of photography cos its been a really long time since i last went after wildlife with my camera...

Airshow 2012

spent the last 3 weeks in OCS air wing having lectures for most of the time...our daily routine is lecture after lecture with some physical activities somewhere here and there...got a break from all that tis week by going to OBS for a modified program specially for the RSAF...came back on fri all shacked out but thoroughly enjoyed myself...

went to see the airshow yesterday and today...missed the B787 but we got a chance to see it take off as it flies back home on sat morn...damn sian F-22 couldnt make it here tis year...was looking forward to it...caught a rare sight of the B-52 as well on a flyby on sat morn...also a rare chance to see a russian aircraft in singapore with the RMAF smokey bandits...all in all, a really impressive aerial display this year that made up for the lack of static displays

just passed out from BMT previous sat, passed my 2A bike license (finally...) on fri, reporting to OCS this tuesday under air wing for pilot vocation...

my takeaway from BMT? group photo quality -sucks-...a handphone camera could do better...

oh yea...spotted venus a couple days back...lens flare combined with chromatic aberration caused the whole thing to appear purple...n its too small to be seen properly...well cant expect much from a spotting scope acting as telescope...

oso started doing some tests for a new room sound system amplifier...now looking at doing an audio crossover to split into lows, mids and highs to give better control over the exact frequency to control, as well as more options here and there...no time to complete though...

its just a flash to december...BMT in enhanced batch really is short...went for live range, got marksman, nxt wk going for field camp, after that will be live grenade and then some other misc events, followed by the POP (passing out parade) in jan...

jupiter is well up in the sky, venus is rising by the week so i hope to see it after my POP...tink im really getting into planet-watching...
